Za Mezo Mumpasi (Bas‑Congo, 1945 – DRC 1991) was an important Congolese artist. He won the National Competition Grand Prize in 1968 and joined the National Museum Institute in 1974. Deeply religious and closely connected to Congolese daily life, he depicted these themes in his major works.
