“Art is a great enchantment for man. The need for art is a completely primordial need for man, as much and even more than the need for bread. Without bread, man dies of hunger but without art he dies of boredom”.

(Jean Dubuffet, Paris 1946)

The idea expressed by Jean Dubuffet, a perfect synthesis of his fascinating philosophical and artistic thought, has unleashed in our minds the desire to design and build fuoricatalogo galleries, having always cultivated the desire to offer works for a particular audience, which seeks inspiration , as a scenography for one’s daily life, outside the usual artistic and antiquarian circuit, inevitably crushed by a generic and generalist idea of culture and art, stereotyped and too conditioned by the great centers of power (economic, media, ideological, political) . The strong attraction we feel for the last and the forgotten of any kind did the rest, as a drive to the continuous search for unique proposals because they were neglected due to the dominant market dynamics.

fuoricatalogo  therefore becomes the synthesis of a style that we have felt the need to share, proposing works of art, antiques and modern design in a harmonious whole made up of beauty, history, social value, high quality and originality, understood just like tangible distinctive trait of the project, which has the synthesis objective of fighting all the superficialities, rampant in contemporary society, which negatively condition our existence.

Online gallery and physical gallery will be the unique showcase where our proposals will materialize far beyond the geographical borders of a small country or a continent, precisely because we believe that any type of border, cultural above all, must be eliminated with the tool of comparison, understood as a formula for growth and consequent social development.

Our galleries will therefore also be an artistic and cultural space where you can discuss, share or compare opinions, admire beauty, grow together as a global community, according to a life pattern that allows for a free evolution of women and men in society; they will travel in perfect parallelism, each with its own tasks and objectives but the terminus of a single detailed artistic design.

Let us thank all the friends who have believed and continue to believe in our project and to all those who will visit us and keep us company – virtually and physically – in our galleries.
