Pompeo Mariani (Monza 1857 – Bordighera 1927), nephew of painter Mosè Bianchi, was highly esteemed for his seascapes, especially storm scenes painted in Bordighera. He exhibited widely in Munich and Paris in the late 19th century, receiving significant acclaim.
