Rudimentary two‑leaf door in oak. Abruzzo, late 19th century. 91.5 cm (36.02 in) x 75 cm (29.53 in).

A rural handcrafted object used as a window shutter to provide darkness and insulation during winter, or as a protective door for a wall niche used to store food. The construction is extremely simple, revealing the rudimentary tools employed. Hinges are hand‑forged iron.
