The works, by an anonymous author, can reasonably be dated to the 1970s, within the artistic sphere of the Transavanguardia. Executed on cardstock using coarse charcoal fragments, the pieces required complex restoration to stabilize the highly volatile material. They were found stacked like an unbound book, likely the artist’s intended final arrangement. The series includes a “cover” sheet, a title sheet (obscured by another title), 83 sheets depicting an outdoor hanging scene, and 15 sheets showing an indoor scene.

A profoundly unsettling work, deserving of in‑depth study for its unconventional communicative impact.
